It’s well known that Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, the two legends of Indian Cinema, will be sharing screen with each other after a long gap of 33 years. The duo is all set to commence shooting for Rajini’s highly-anticipated 170th film in Mumbai today.
On this special occasion, an overwhelmed Rajini took to X and tweeted, “After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s “Thalaivar 170″ directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy! (sic).” Rajini also shared a picture of him posing with the BigB. In the picture, both the thespians are all smiles, and their camaraderie will be a treat for their fans.
Rajini’s 170th film, tentatively titled Thalaivar170, also features Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Rithika Singh and Dushara Vijayan in lead roles. The TJ Gnanavel directorial is being produced by Lyca Productions and Anirudh Ravichander will be scoring the soundtrack.
