There was a huge controversy when Team RRR released a special poster featuring NTR as Komaram Bheem a few months ago. Several politicians and Hindu religious leaders took offence to the makers portrayal of Telangana tribal hero Komaram Bheem wearing a skull cap.
In a latest interview, RRR’s script writer V Vijayendra Prasad revealed that, in one crucial sequence in RRR, Komaram Bheem wears a skull cap and transforms into a Muslim youth to escape when Nizam police try to hunt him down. Vijayendra Prasad also said that fans will be pleasantly surprised to know why Ram Charan was shown as a police officer in the Bheem for Ramaraju teaser.
The veteran writer further said that he had penned the script after Rajamouli revealed his plans to make a multi-starrer with two top heroes. “We wrote RRR’s script keeping in mind NTR and Ram Charan’s star image,” Vijayendra Prasad said.
