After the debacle of Vikram Vedha, Bollywood Greek God Hrithik Roshan has now come up with the film Fighter. The movie, directed by Siddharth Anand, is India’s first aerial action drama. The movie opened mostly to positive reviews from critics. Initially, the film had a slow start, but it gained momentum from evening shows, which is a positive sign.
Fighter collected 24.6 crores nett on its opening day at the domestic box office. Considering the low buzz before the release, this can be termed as a fair start. As per the trade experts, the movie opened well in urban centers, but the performance in non-metro regions isn’t up to the mark. However, word of mouth is encouraging, and this should help the movie post solid numbers from the second day.
Deepika Padukone played the female lead. Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, and Rishabh Sawhney essayed prominent roles. Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures bankrolled this biggie.
