Dhruva is a film that brought back Ram Charan in the game as he was going through a tough time in his career. The film is the remake of the Tamil hit Thani Oruvan.
Mohan Raja directed the original and not many know that he wanted to direct the remake Dhruva in Telugu as well. But as Ram Charan had already locked Surender Reddy, he missed the film, says the noted director.
But all that is fine as Mohan Raja has become a popular director thanks to the success of Godfather featuring Chiranjeevi. He is known as the remake specialist in Tamil and might do a film with the Akkineni’s next.
