Team RRR will be making a huge splash at the 95th Academy Awards on March 12 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. RRR’s foot-tapping global chartbuster ‘Naatu Naatu’ is competing for the prestigious golden statuette in the Best Original Song category. Tollywood playback singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, who originally sang Naatu Naatu, will be performing the song live at the Oscars ceremony.
Now, actor Ram Charan, who is in the US for RRR’s Oscar campaign, said in a latest interview that he would be “more than happy” to perform Naatu Naatu hook step on Oscars stage. “We would be “more than happy to entertain our audience” but it would be difficult to perform the entire song on the stage. Not every place accommodates us to perform. But if we’re at the Oscars and there’s a request, and there’s time, why not?,” said Charan.
Needless to say, it’d be a cracker of a night at the Oscars if both Charan and NTR end up shaking a leg with each other to Naatu Naatu. After AR Rahman’s Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire in 2009, Naatu Naatu will be the second Indian song to be performed live at the Oscars.
