2022 has been a remarkable year for south cinema. Many films from the south exhibited their rampage at the national level without any linguistic barriers. IMDb has now released a new list of the top 10 popular Indian movies for the year 2022.
It is South cinema all the way on the list with nine out of ten films. The films in the list, according to their order, are RRR, The Kashmir Files, KGF Chapter 2, Vikram, Kantara, Rocketry, Major, Sita Ramam, Ponniyin Selvan 1, and 777 Charlie.
So if we categorize, there are three Telugu films, three Tamil films, three Kannada films, and one Hindi film. Only The Kashmir Files secured a place in this list from Bollywood. This list once again shows the domination of regional cinema.
