Kajal Aggarwal is in a state of shock and trauma after a freak incident on the sets of Indian 2, which happened last night in Chennai. Three people, including an assistant director, died on the spot and several others were injured when a crane crashed on the floor. Technicians on the set have revealed that it was a narrow escape for Kajal, Kamal Haasan, and designer Amrita Ram who were in the vicinity when the accident occurred.
Within a few hours, Kamal Haasan offered his condolences to the deceased and their families, and said that he is grieving along with the rest of the cast and crew. Kajal Aggarwal, who is yet to fully recover from the shock, took to Twitter saying, “In so much shock, denial, trauma from the monstrous crane accident last night. All it took was a fraction of a second to stay alive and type this tweet. Just that one moment. Gratitude. So much learning and appreciation for the value of time and life. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻.”
Lyca Productions, which is producing the film, issued an official statement regarding the incident and shared details of the three people who passed away. There were rumours that Shankar too had suffered injuries, however, sources on the set have denied these reports.
