Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to return as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in Jailer 2, the much-awaited sequel directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
According to industry reports, the film is set to hit theatres on October 15, 2026. If the date holds, Jailer 2 will enjoy the advantage of the extended Dussehra holiday weekend, giving it a strong opportunity to register a massive opening at the box office.
A Rs. 1,000 crore Tamil film has remained an elusive milestone. With the phenomenal success of the first installment and the immense hype surrounding the sequel, Jailer 2 has the potential to achieve this feat if it strikes the right chord with audiences.
Apart from Rajinikanth, the film features Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, S. J. Suryah, Hrithik Roshan, Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa Menon, and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. Produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
