Greek God of Bollywood Hrithik Roshan shone in a special cameo as Roddy in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, which is nearing the Rs. 600 crore mark. Earlier, there were reports that the Hindi actor, who reunited with the Superstar after 40 years, charged around Rs. 25 crore for his cameo.
Now, fresh claims suggest that Hrithik charged nothing and acted for free out of gratitude and respect for Rajini. The Krrish star reportedly took no remuneration for his interesting cameo.
The initial Rs. 25 crore claim may have come from the actor’s quoted fee, but it was reportedly dropped after Sun Pictures hesitated to pay such a huge amount, with Rajini possibly intervening in the matter. What actually happened is known only to the producer and the actors involved. Hopefully, a better clarification will come in the future.
