Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is nearing the completion of its shoot. The sequel has been carrying strong buzz ever since it was announced, especially after the success of the first installment.
The film is also planned for a Telugu release, aiming to capitalize on Rajinikanth’s fan base in the Telugu states. However, the latest industry talk is that the makers are quoting a hefty ₹62 crore for the Telugu theatrical rights.
Many in the trade feel this price is on the higher side, considering the current market dynamics and Rajinikanth’s recent box office performance in Telugu regions.
