Jana Nayagan and Parasakthi makers to approach the court over censor issues?

Kollywood Pongal releases Jana Nayagan, starring Thalapathy Vijay, and Parasakthi, headlined by Sivakarthikeyan, are slated to hit the big screens on January 9 and January 10, respectively. However, both Tamil films are currently facing censor issues, causing concern among fans.

The films were sent to the censor board some time ago but are yet to receive clearance, reportedly due to political dialogues and sensitive portions. As the matter remains unresolved, the makers of Jana Nayagan and Parasakthi are said to be planning to approach the court.

With the censor certificates still pending, theatre chains have been unable to open advance bookings. While Jana Nayagan appears to serve as a medium to bolster Vijay’s political mileage, Parasakthi revolves around the anti-Hindi imposition movement that took place in Tamil Nadu in the late 1960s.
