Thalapathy Vijay’s farewell film Jana Nayagan was postponed at the last minute as the CBFC denied issuing the censor certificate required for release. The issue is now in court, and today, Justice P.T. Asha directed the censor board to issue a U/A 16+ certificate immediately.
However, the CBFC has decided to file a writ appeal before the first Division Bench of Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava and Justice G. Arul Murugan, seeking a hearing either today or on Monday. Vijay fans are shell-shocked by the continuous obstacles affecting the film’s release.
Looks like the wait continues for Jana Nayagan to hit the silver screens. Produced by KVN Productions, the film is based on the Telugu action drama Bhagavanth Kesari. Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, and Mamitha Baiju play key roles.
