If everything went well, movie lovers across the world would have enjoyed the grand opening of star director Rajamouli’s epic period drama, RRR, yesterday. RRR was supposed to hit screens on July 30, 2020 originally, but
due to several delays in the shooting schedules, the film was later postponed to January 8, 2021.
Needless to say, fans are badly missing RRR’s release. The internet is full of memes on how fans would have celebrated had the film made it to cinemas yesterday. While the inevitable delay is quite unfortunate, even the Jan 8, 2021 release seems doubtful due to the over 4 month stalling of the shoot due to the lockdown. Fans may have to wait at least a year to catch the movie in the cinemas.
RRR prominently stars NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris and Samuthirakhani in lead roles. DVV Danayya is bankrolling this pan-India biggie with a whopping Rs 400 crore budget.
