The box office is gearing up for a packed weekend. Theaters are ready to host a busy lineup on June 19, offering audiences a solid mix of action, sentiment, and romance. From a top heroine taking on an action-heavy role to a nostalgic comeback by a popular 90s family hero, filmmakers are stepping up to test their luck across multiple genres.
Samantha is ready to create magic on screen again, teaming up with director Nandini Reddy for Maa Inti Bangaram. Produced by Raj Nidimoru alongside Samantha herself, the film carries high expectations. The cast features Diganth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Gautami in important roles. The team has mixed family emotions with heavy action, and they are confident that the movie will deliver full value for the audience’s time and money.
At the same time, Vijay Antony is hoping to strike gold with Vanda Devullu. Directed by Sasi, the duo is back together after delivering the massive blockbuster Bichagadu. Billed as a period drama, the film packs action, suspense, and strong family drama. It is set for a simultaneous theatrical release in both Telugu and Tamil.
Meanwhile, 90s audiences have a special reason to head to the theaters. Family hero Vadde Naveen is making his return to the big screen after a long gap. He leads Transfer Trimurthulu, an emotionally grounded story starring Rashi Singh as the female lead. The movie has already generated quiet curiosity among moviegoers who remember Naveen’s earlier hits.
Joining the race is Malayalam director Chidambaram, who recently impressed Telugu audiences with the massive hit Manjummel Boys. He brings Balan: The Boy, a moving story centered entirely around a mother-son bond.
A smaller film is also making noise this week. Geetha Arts is backing the release of a cute love story titled Deewana. Starring Harshit and Sneha Manimekalai, the movie’s one-sided love dialogues are already catching on with younger audiences. Finally, Bollywood enters the mix with Cocktail 2. Directed by Homi Adajania, this romantic drama stars Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, adding a fresh, urban flavor to the weekend’s choices.
