Kalki 2898 AD, headlined by PAN-India star Prabhas and directed by Nag Ashwin, is one of the biggest hits in Indian film history. The mythological sci-fi film earned over Rs. 1000 crore globally in its lifetime. Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan played pivotal roles.
The latest update reveals that the much-awaited sequel will go on floors from February 2. The shoot will begin with Kamal Haasan’s portions, while Prabhas will join the sets from the second week of February. The second film will feature the face-off between Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.
Currently, Prabhas is shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, and in between, he will also shoot for Kalki 2. Deepika Padukone will not be part of the second installment, as officially announced by Vyjayanthi Films. It remains to be seen who will replace her.
