Continuing its dream run even during the weekdays, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s blockbuster sci-fi drama, Kalki 2898 AD, has now surpassed yet another major milestone at the global box office. The Nag Ashwin directorial has entered the Rs 700 crore club on the seventh day of its theatrical release. The makers have unveiled a special poster featuring Deepika from the interval sequence to announce the same.
Until yesterday (July 2), Kalki 2898 AD collected a humongous gross of over Rs 680 crore worldwide. Today, the film sustained momentum and surpassed the Rs 700 crore milestone. Kalki is inching towards the Rs 1,000 crore mark and is expected to join this elite league by the end of this week.
Kalki’s Hindi version has collected nearly Rs 175 crore so far across the country. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Sobhana, Disha Patani, Anna Ben, Pasupathy, and several others in prominent roles, the film is produced by veteran producer Ashwini Dutt. Santhosh Narayanan is the film’s music composer.
