Kantara: Chapter 1 has become this year’s highest-grossing Indian film. Rishab Shetty handled both acting and directing, while Rukmini Vasanth plays a negative role. The movie has already crossed the Rs. 800 crore mark, which is just insane.
We had reported earlier that the film is expected to hit Amazon Prime Video in the last week of November. There’s no official confirmation yet, but in the meantime, the franchise’s first installment, Kantara, is doing wonders on Amazon Prime Video.
Released in 2022, Kantara is currently trending 4th in India on Netflix. The crazy part? The Hindi version has been in the top 10 for 14 weeks straight. The craze around this franchise is just unreal. As the prequel waits for its OTT release, Kantara is still getting a massive digital response.
Hombale Films made the prequel on a pretty big budget. Jayaram, Gulshan Devaiah, and Pramodh Shetty bring the characters to life, and Ajaneesh Loknath’s music is just sensational.
