Karna: Suriya’s shelved Bollywood debut project to be revived with Salman Khan?

Back then, Suriya and Rang De Basanti director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra teamed up for the mythological drama Karna. The project was supposed to mark Suriya’s Bollywood debut, but it was shelved during the pre-production stage due to budget constraints.

For the past two days, the Bollywood media has been reporting that Salman Khan will join hands with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for a period drama to be produced by Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment. As per the latest buzz in Bollywood circles, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is planning to revive Karna with Salman Khan in the lead role.

Salman Khan is yet to make a decision, but fans are closely watching the developments. If Salman comes on board, the project is sure to generate massive excitement among audiences, with one of the biggest stars of Indian cinema taking on a character from the Mahabharata.
