The last few films of Varun Tej had a poor reception from the audience, but his latest outing Korean Kanakaraju is off to a good start at the box office, a huge sigh of relief for Mega Prince.
According to the latest update from the makers, Korean Kanakaraju took an opening of over Rs. 8 crores gross (Premieres + Day 1), a very promising start for the horror comedy. In the USA, the film grossed $175K so far. Given the theatrical rights, all the movie needs to do is maintain a similar trend over the weekend to be in the safe zone.
The word of mouth is on the positive side too, which makes things better. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the movie stars Ritika Nayak as the female lead. Satya played a pivotal role, while the film is bankrolled jointly by First Frame Entertainments and UV Creations.
