After many delays, Pradeep Ranganathan’s futuristic romantic comedy Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) is arriving in cinemas on April 10. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the movie stars Krithi Shetty as the female lead. Today, the makers unveiled the theatrical trailer, and it looks interesting.
As the title suggests, it is centred around a corporate company that insures love. The movie is set in 2040, and the company, headed by SJ Suryah, determines the compatibility between a male and a female through its app.
Protagonist Pradeep Ranganathan meets the female lead Krithi Shetty in a rehabilitation center. If you think the rehab center is for drug addiction, then you are wrong. Since the movie is set in a future timeline, the director has come up with an imaginary idea that rehabilitation centers in the next generation will be for social media addicts.
There, the hero falls for the heroine, but troubles brew in his life as LIK suggests that they are not a perfect match. Pradeep Ranganathan decides to prove that an app cannot make a call on something related to human feelings. The storyline is interesting, and we need to see how Vignesh Shivan will narrate it.
Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri Kishan, Shah Rah, and Malavika play other important roles. Nayanthara has produced this film, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
