Last year, the small-budget Telugu film Little Hearts, headlined by Mouli and Shivani Nagaram in the lead roles, emerged as a dark horse at the box office. The movie, directed by Sai Marthand, collected around Rs. 40 crores gross and did a world of good for everyone involved in it. The film was backed by ETV Win and hence arrived on the same platform after its theatrical run.
Recently, Little Hearts premiered on Netflix in multiple Indian languages, a move that came as a sweet surprise to movie buffs. During the promotions of Hey Balwanth, Shivani Nagaram said that the film changed everything for her and credited its Netflix release for helping her take a big leap in her career.
“Netflix release was a game-changer for me. It opened doors for me in other languages, which I never expected. Initially, when we were doing the film, we thought it would do well, but we didn’t expect it to blow up this way. It gave me a great push, undoubtedly,” said the actress.
