Makers of HIT: The First Case are happy with the result

HIT: The First Case starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, was released in theaters in mid-July. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar and Kuldeep Rathore, the thriller slowly began to work its magic at the box office and fared well.

According to trade sources, the film was made on a budget of Rs. 37 crores, including publicity and promotion. Most of the budget was recovered through non-theatrical rights, sold for a whopping Rs. 36.5-37.5 crores.

Producers made the wise decision to release on their own with no NRA model. So the money it made from the theatrical release is all profit. According to trade reports, the film made a decent net collection of Rs. 12.75 crores at the box office, thanks to positive word of mouth. The producers profited between Rs. 5.5 and 6 crores and are very happy with the outcome.

The film recently debuted on Netflix and with the audience’s love the film is trending at No.1 position and it is expected to continue for 2 more weeks. Considering the revenues, rave reviews from the critics and an IMDB rating of 7.5, 83% on BookMyShow, and 4.6 on Google, HIT: The First Case has turned out to be a successful project.
