Director Maruthi has shared his thoughts on the mixed response received by The Raja Saab. Speaking openly, he said the timing of the release played a key role in how the film was perceived.
According to Maruthi, since the movie was released during a festive period, audiences were largely in a celebratory mood and could not fully connect with the film’s core emotions.
He added that if The Raja Saab had arrived at a different time, viewers might have paid closer attention to the narrative, especially the climax.
Maruthi believes the climax, in particular, would have sparked much more discussion and appreciation. Despite the mixed reactions, he remains confident about the film’s content and long-term recall among audiences.
