Mrunal Thakur recently found herself in the middle of a marriage rumour linking her with actor Dhanush. Reports claimed that the two were planning to get married on February 14, 2026. However, people close to the actress have clearly denied the rumour, calling it untrue.
Soon after that, Mrunal shifted attention to her work and shared an interesting update on Instagram. In her story, she wrote, “New year, new script, new beginning.” She also mentioned that she is in Hyderabad, indicating that she has started working on a new Telugu project.
The post created curiosity, with many trying to link it to Allu Arjun’s upcoming film (AA22) with Atlee. At the same time, there are rumours that Mrunal is already participating in the shoot. This has led to speculation that the script she referred to could be for another project altogether.
At this point, it is not clear whether the update is connected to AA22 or to a completely new film. Details about the director, co-star, and production house are expected to come out soon.
On the release front, Mrunal’s Hindi film Do Deewane Shehar Mein, co-starring Siddharth Chitravedi, is set to release on February 20. Her Telugu film Dacoit, opposite Adivi Sesh, is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026. For now, the focus remains on the new Telugu project she hinted at, and an official announcement is awaited.
