Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has also left her mark on Telugu cinema with a few notable films. While Sita Ramam, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, brought her into the limelight, Nani’s Hi Nanna further increased her popularity. Mrunal’s performances in both these films were widely appreciated.
Tamil audiences have been waiting to see Mrunal in a Kollywood film, but it hasn’t materialised so far for unknown reasons. It now appears that Mrunal Thakur may soon make her Kollywood debut. According to reports, the actress will likely play the female lead in Simbu’s 51st film, tentatively titled #STR51.
Reportedly, the actress gave her nod to the project recently. Ashwath Marimuthu, who earlier directed blockbusters like Oh My Kadavule and Dragon, will helm the film. AGS Entertainment will bankroll the project. The shoot is expected to commence once Simbu wraps up Arasan, directed by Vetrimaaran.
