Hero Naga Chaitanya has begun prepping for his ambitious project and he’s leaving no stone unturned to get into the skin of his character. Touted as a rustic drama set in a coastal backdrop, this as-yet-untitled film is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vas in Allu Aravind’s presentation. As reported earlier, Chay will be donning a fisherman’s role in this high budget entertainer.

As part of his preparations, Chay today met with several fishermen families in K Matchilesam village of Srikakulam. Chay, along with his director and producer, spent some quality time interacting with the local fishermen and their family members. The purpose of this visit to the fishermen’s village is to understand their land, their language, their culture and lifestyle.

Interestingly, a local writer named Karthik has penned the story based on real incidents that took place in Gujarat in 2018. The film will mark Chay’s 23rd project in his career. The film also marks the actor-director duo’s hat-trick outing, after Premam and Savyasachi. Tentatively titled NC23, the film’s pre-production work is underway in full swing. The shooting will kick-start later this month.
