Dhootha marked the OTT debut of Tollywood actor Naga Chaitanya, and sensible filmmaker Vikram K Kumar directed it. Dhootha is a suspense thriller laced with supernatural elements. The series arrived on Amazon Prime Video on December 1st and wreaked havoc with solid viewership.
Dhootha received good critical acclaim and the series also won over the audience. The series digs into the traditional good journalist vs bad journalist debate. As per the latest update, a sequel will soon be made for Dhootha, and the official announcement regarding the same will come out on 19th March, Tuesday.
Amazon Prime Video is announcing its 2024 content slate on 19th March, and we can expect multiple announcements on that day, including Dhootha 2. The first installment also starred Priya Bhavani Shankar, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Prachi Desai, Pasupathy, Ravindra Vijay, and others in key roles. Sharrath Marar of NorthStar Entertainment produced the series.
