Akhanda 2: Thaandavam marks the fourth collaboration between Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu. The film stars Samyuktha as the female lead and was confirmed to be set for an OTT release on Netflix on January 9, 2026.
While Netflix did not release any official poster or announcement confirming the date, the film’s title had earlier appeared in the platform’s (app) catalogue during searches. This led many to believe that the film would premiere this Friday. However, the title has now been quietly removed from the catalogue, and the previously active link no longer redirects to the film.
This development suggests that the OTT release of Akhanda 2 may have been postponed. That said, it may be too early to draw a final conclusion, as Netflix could still reinstate the title and make an official announcement in the coming days. Until then, the release status remains uncertain.
The pan-Indian film also features Aadhi Pinisetty, Kabir Duhan Singh, Harshaali Malhotra, Saswata Chatterjee, and others in key roles. It is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta, with music composed by Thaman.
