The Telangana government has announced night curfew in view of the surge in COVID-19 positive cases across the state. The curfew will come into effect starting from 9 PM tonight and will remain in force until 5 AM on May 1.
As a result of the latest G.O. No.87, movie halls across the state shall not screen the night shows. Already, several medium and high budget movies have been postponed due to the Corona scare. All offices, firms, shops, establishments, cinema halls and restaurants etc. shall close at 8:00 PM except hospitals, diagnostic labs, pharmacies and those dealing with supply of essential services.
Any violation of the instructions shall result in prosecution under Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 and Section 188 of IPC and other applicable laws.
