Nithiin and Dil Raju’s Thammudu released with a lot of buzz but failed to make a mark at the box office. Directed by Venu Sriram, the film features Laya in a key role, with Sapthami Gowda, Swasika, Varsha Bollamma, and Saurabh Sachdeva in supporting roles.
The movie didn’t fare much better on OTT platforms either. Now, it’s getting a second life on the small screen – Star Maa, which picked up the satellite rights, has announced that Thammudu will air on September 21, 2025, at 6 PM.
It will be interesting to see if viewers at home respond any differently. The music for the film is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath, rounding out the main credits without any extra fanfare.
