Finally, star hero Akshay Kumar seems to be getting back on track. His recent release, Oh My God 2, has attained a decent opening of 10 crores nett and provided relief to Akshay, whose last films didn’t have a respectable opening. The sequel is written and directed by Amit Rai.
The movie attained healthy growth on day two and collected 15.30 crores nett. The positive reviews and encouraging word of mouth started working in favor of the film. Trade experts predict that Oh My God 2 will collect in the vicinity of 20 crores on its third day. Despite severe competition from Gadar 2, the film is collecting good revenues.
Going by the trend, Oh My God 2 might join the coveted 100 crores club soon. Though Akshay’s screen time is limited, it is his star power that is drawing the audiences to the theatres. Pankaj Tripathi played the central character in this flick which deals with a sensitive topic. Yami Gautam, Govind Namdev, and Arun Govil played other crucial roles.
