Content driven films where the hero is not shown in a traditionally glamorous way do not usually end up as commercial blockbusters. But the movie Oopiri has bucked this trend, to cross the 100 Crore gross mark. With this feat, the film has earned it’s place among the list of highly successful movies in Telugu.
This figure is a sum of its total worldwide collections, including the Tamil version. Nagajuna and Karthi played the lead roles in this excellent adaptation of The Intouchables. Director Vamshi Paidipally handled the movie in a very mature and sensible way and this endeared the film to viewers.
Tammah sizzled in a glamorous but polished role while actors like Shriya and Prakash Raj chipped in with good performances. The movie was produced by PVP Cinema.
