Oppenheimer debuts on OTT, but there is a catch

Hollywood biggie Oppenheimer, helmed by one of the greatest directors, Christopher Nolan, wreaked havoc at the box office. It is a biographical film on Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb. Despite being R-rated, Oppenheimer nearly collected 1 billion dollars at the worldwide box office.

In India, the movie collected more than 100 crores. Cillian Murphy of Peaky Blinders fame played the titular role. The movie has now made its debut on Amazon Prime Video. However, there is a catch. Viewers must pay a fee of Rs. 149 to enjoy this biographical film on the digital platform.

The movie is available in 4K version for streaming on Book My Show Stream and ZEE5, with rental prices of Rs. 199 and Rs. 169, respectively. In addition to English, the film is also accessible in Hindi on these platforms.

Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, and Matt Damon played other crucial roles. Oppenheimer is based on the book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. The movie is jointly produced by Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven.
