In August 2025, the Telugu sports drama Arjun Chakravarthy made its theatrical debut. Directed by Vikrant Rudra and produced by Srini Gubbala, the film is a biographical portrayal of Nagulayya, a kabaddi player from Nalgonda, Telangana, who represented India in the 1980s.
Headlined by Vijaya Rama Raju, the film has already earned 46 international awards and is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. While its theatrical run received a moderate response, it will be interesting to see how audiences embrace the film on OTT.
Sija Rose plays the female lead, with Ajay, Ajay Ghosh, Dayanand Reddy, and Durgesh Lankalapalli appearing in supporting roles. The film’s music is composed by Vignesh Baskaran.
