The big-budget Hollywood thriller Crime 101 has officially started streaming in India on Amazon Prime Video from today. The film grabs instant attention with its star power, featuring Avengers fame actor Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo, along with former Bond girl Halle Berry.
Crime 101 revolves around a series of high-value jewel thefts and the investigation that follows, unfolding as a tense cat-and-mouse chase. Blending elements of a slick heist drama with realism, the film aims to keep viewers engaged throughout. Despite being made on a reported budget of around $90 million, it underperformed at the box office, earning approximately $72 million worldwide.
Adding to the ensemble, Barry Keoghan and Monica Barbaro play key roles. The film is directed by Bart Layton, who is known for crafting stylish and realistic crime dramas. His storytelling approach brings a grounded yet gripping tone to the narrative.
Produced by Working Title Films in association with Chris Hemsworth’s team, the film now gets a second chance on OTT. A major advantage is its availability in multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, making it widely accessible, and it remains to see how the movie will entertain OTT audiences.
