Recently, a small-budget Tamil film named Paranthu Po was released in theatres, and it garnered strong critical acclaim. The film features Mirchi Shiva in the lead role. At the box office too, Paranthu Po performed fairly, grossing over Rs. 9 crores in Tamil Nadu according to trade reports.
Grace Antony, Anjali, Aju Varghese, and Mithul Ryan played pivotal roles. The road musical comedy film is now streaming on Jio Hotstar in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali, Kannada, and Marathi audios, along with English subtitles. The theatrical window is four weeks. Lately, many small-budget films have been thriving on OTT, gaining traction from audiences across the nation.
Since Paranthu Po is available in multiple languages, we can expect the film to reach a wider audience. Directed by Ram, the film was produced jointly by Seven Seas & Seven Hills Productions, Jio Hotstar, and GKS Bros Productions. The music and background score were composed by Santosh Dhayanidhi and Yuvan Shankar Raja, respectively.
