Superstar Rajinikanth recently appeared in the film Lal Salaam, directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The sports action drama is set against the backdrop of communal riots. However, Lal Salaam was a washout at the box office, failing to collect respectable numbers.

For a long time, there has been a constant buzz about the film’s OTT release. Initially, there were reports that Lal Salaam would be released on March 8 on Netflix. Then, it was said that the movie would arrive in the OTT space on March 21. Again, a few portals stated Lal Salaam would release on March 29, but till now, there has been no trace of the OTT release. According to the latest buzz, the digital release of this Rajini starrer has been pushed back to April 12.

Not just the change in the OTT release date, but it is also being speculated that the film’s OTT platform has been changed. Sun NXT is said to have acquired the digital rights, but there isn’t any official confirmation regarding the same. Lal Salaam also featured Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth, and Dhanya Balakrishna in vital roles. Keep watching this space for more OTT updates.
