Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is busy with multiple films under his belt. The actor will next be seen in De De Pyaar De 2, which is slated for release next month. Apart from acting, Ajay Devgn also produces films. He had planned a high-budget creature action film for Netflix titled Ramree.
Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mohit Raina were roped in as the lead actors, while Tere Bin Laden Dead Or Alive and The Zoya Factor writer Neha Sharma was on board as the director. However, according to a report in Mid-day, the ambitious project was cancelled even before it went on floors.
The film was initially said to be a first-of-its-kind attempt in Indian cinema, but it seems the project is not happening anymore due to budget constraints. The team reportedly spent over a year on pre-production. Netflix heads were also said to be highly impressed with the script, but they decided not to move forward as the financial risk was too high.
