The trend of paid previews has been on the rise in Bollywood over the last couple of years, with films like Stree 2, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and Bhooth Bangla arriving in theatres a day before their full-scale release. After a wait of three years, Akshay Kumar scored a proper hit with Bhooth Bangla, which opened with paid previews in India.
Now, Akshay Kumar’s next release, Welcome To The Jungle, has also opted for paid previews on June 25 ahead of its full-fledged release on June 26. Ticket bookings for the previews have commenced, while advance bookings for the other days are expected to open tomorrow.
Directed by Ahmed Khan, the movie also stars Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, and Urvashi Rautela in key roles.
