Sivakarthikeyan’s political action drama Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, finally hit the big screens today after going through several hurdles in the censorship process. As the movie deals with the anti-Hindi imposition movement in Tamil Nadu, the CBFC asked the team to make several changes.
The movie has now arrived in cinemas, and shockingly, it is receiving poor reviews from critics. The film is being termed below average, with criticism aimed at the narration, which is said to be heavily boring and unengaging. The period setup and performances are said to be the only positives, while the remaining aspects failed to please critics.
It remains to be seen how Parasakthi will perform at the box office, as the reports are not encouraging. Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and others played key roles. Parasakthi is produced by Aakash Baskaran under the Dawn Pictures banner, with music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Rana Daggubati and Basil Joseph played cameo roles.
