Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Peddi has hit the big screens, and the movie is doing pretty well in the Telugu states. However, the performance in the Hindi belt is underwhelming. The advances opened late for the Hindi dubbed version, and the movie collected Rs. 3 crores nett on the opening day.
On day 2, Peddi faced competition from Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Bandar, resulting in a reduced show count. On Friday, the movie earned Rs. 2.25 crore nett, taking the two-day tally to Rs. 5.25 crores nett. The hold would have been better if not for the competition.
The weekend jump and the hold on weekdays now hold the key for Peddi in the North India market. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead.
