The makers of Peddi have unveiled a new character poster, giving audiences a glimpse of one of the film’s important roles. The big-budget project stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor and is being directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
The poster introduces Jagapathi Babu in a strikingly different avatar. Playing a character named Appala Soori, the actor appears almost unrecognisable after undergoing a major transformation. He is seen as an elderly man, dressed in a loose shirt, with a towel resting on his shoulder and old-fashioned spectacles aiding his vision. The team describes the role as powerful and significant, and expectations are high about how Jagapathi Babu will shape the character on screen.
Set against a rural sports backdrop, the pan-Indian film also features Shivaji Rajkumar, Divyenndu Sharma, Satya, and several others in key roles. Produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers along with Sukumar Writings, the film has music composed by AR Rahman. Peddi is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 27, 2026.
