During the Delhi press meet of Peddi, Ram Charan opened up about a key interaction he had with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and explained how it is connected to the film.

Ram Charan said, “When I met Modi sir in Delhi, he asked me what Peddi is about. I told him it’s about Viksit Bharat, i.e., empowerment of villages. He then shared his lovely experience from his campaign in West Bengal, where he saw many people wearing football jerseys in a small village. A person named Mohammed from that locality had played for the Indian football team, and he inspired many others to take up the sport. Today, more than 85 people from that area are playing football. Even one person can make a huge difference, and Peddi is about one such person from a tribal region.”

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the movie stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani play key roles. AR Rahman is the music composer. The film releases on June 4, 2026, in major Indian languages.
