Percentage sharing row: Telangana exhibitors meet industry stalwart Megastar Chiranjeevi

The ongoing rental-versus-percentage-sharing issue between producers and exhibitors in Telangana led to the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) forming a sub-committee to implement and oversee the percentage-sharing model in the state. While TFCC passed a resolution stating that Peddi wouldn’t face any release hurdles, exhibitors insisted that the new revenue-sharing model should commence with the Ram Charan starrer.

With the issue not yet resolved, exhibitors have now met industry stalwart Megastar Chiranjeevi to discuss the challenges being faced by single-screen theatres. TFCC President Suresh Babu and producer KL Narayana also attended the meeting.

Dil Raju, Suniel Narang, exhibitor Sridhar, Telangana Film Chamber President Juvvaadi Shekar, Anupam Reddy, Vijayender Reddy, and Bala Govind are also among those participating in the crucial discussion.
