Star actress Pooja Hegde recently appeared in the film Deva, which was headlined by Shahid Kapoor. The actress is now busy promoting this cop drama. In one of her interviews, she referred to her Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramulo as a Tamil film, which triggered Allu Arjun’s admirers.

Pooja Hedge said, “Actually, Ala Vaikunthapurramulo is a Tamil film and not a PAN Indian film. But it was watched by the Hindi audience, too. In my opinion, if the work is good, it will reach more people.” Pooja Hegde’s accidental slip of the tongue, forgetting the language of the film, sparked criticism among the Telugu audiences.

Ala Vaikunthapurramulo, directed by Trivikram, is an important film in Pooja’s career. Since the film’s release, many have been referring to her as ‘Butta Bomma’ (a popular song in the movie), and hence, the actress’s recent statement made fans even more furious. Whether or not Pooja Hegde apologizes remains to be seen.
