Speaking at 2.0’s grand theatrical trailer launch event in Chennai, one of the country’s most successful directors, Shankar, was all praise for another most admired director in India, Rajamouli. “Rajamouli sir, I am a huge fan of yours. You are the pride of India,” Shankar said.
In a video byte that was screened at the trailer launch, Rajamouli asked Shankar if handling the pressure of helming India’s biggest film the biggest challenge or if it was the pressure to reach the expectations of Rajini fans. Shankar said that the only way to handle pressure is to work more. “I analyze each and every aspect of filmmaking and work carefully,” said Shankar.
Shankar went on to say that Rajnikant dedication even at his age and so many years of experience has what made him a true Super Star. Shankar went on to say, “2.0 has many surprises and Rajini sir as Chitti’s reloaded version will definitely reach everyone’s expectations.”
In his response to Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar’s question, Shankar said that it’s the audiences who motivate him to make movies like 2.0. He also revealed that VFX and action sequences were the biggest challenge he had faced during the making of 2.0.
Shankar further said that he has been getting flash-like ideas for 3.0 and that he will definitely make a sequel if he finds an interesting story. Describing 2.0 as an out-and-out action entertainer, Shankar said that the 3D visuals and 4D sound will offer a unique experience to audiences.
Finally, Shankar thanked Bollywood star Akshay Kumar for the kind of hard work he has put in for the movie. “Akshay Kumar sir must have never worked so hard in his entire career than he did in 2.0,” said Shankar. 2.0 is hitting the screens worldwide on November 29.
