Interacting with the attendees of CCXP Mexico 2026, Rajamouli said that Varanasi, headlined by Superstar Mahesh Babu, is his most ambitious film yet. He added that he always dreams big about his films.
Talking about Varanasi’s production design, Rajamouli stated, “India’s ancient temples and architectural brilliance have always fascinated me. For Varanasi, the palace sequences and the city’s majestic aura draw inspiration from the timeless glory of Kasi and our rich temple architecture.”
The biggie is set to hit the big screens on April 7, 2027. Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead, and Prithviraj Sukumaran essays the role of antagonist. KL Narayana of Sri Durga Arts is the producer. MM Keeravani is the music composer.
