Industry buzz around the upcoming multi-starrer featuring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has taken everyone by surprise with its staggering remuneration.
In terms of fees, Kamal Haasan is said to be earning around ₹220 crore through a profit-sharing model, while Rajinikanth’s salary is estimated between ₹180 and ₹200 crore.
Director Nelson Dilipkumar is reportedly charging ₹70 crore for the project. This takes the total remuneration close to a massive ₹500 crore, even before accounting for technicians and other production expenses.
Interestingly, the actual making cost of the film is said to be in the range of ₹150 to ₹180 crore. Backed by Red Giant Movies, the project is now being labeled as the most expensive Tamil film ever made.
The combination of two legendary stars and a successful director has already created unprecedented hype, making this one of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema.
