Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited sequel Jailer 2 is releasing in two more weeks. Many felt that the hype isn’t up to the mark for a sequel. This is mostly because the music didn’t click on the level of the first part.
However, Rajinikanth’s stardom is in full display as the USA bookings of Jailer 2 are off to a tremendous start. In just two days since the ticket sales commenced, the movie has grossed $165K from premiere shows as per trade reports. The Telugu version’s bookings are also off to a promising start.
The trailer will be out on October 5, and if it clicks, expect a tycoon at the box office. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the biggie also features Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Mirnaa, Ramya Krishnan, Mithun Chakraborty, and others in key roles. Mohanlal, Hrithik Roshan, Shiva Rajkumar, and Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in special cameos. Anirudh is composing the tunes.
