Mega Power Star Ram Charan is creating waves with his PAN-Indian sports drama epic, Peddi. The movie, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced on a massive scale by Venkata Satish Kilaru, is set for a grand worldwide release on June 4th. Already, the songs, composed by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, have become huge chartbusters, while the trailer has heightened the buzz by showcasing an immersive and inspiring journey of a crossover athlete.

As part of the promotions for Peddi, the team has been touring different parts of the country to amplify the buzz surrounding the film. Following the massive response to the record-breaking Bhopal event, which drew nationwide attention towards Ram Charan’s popularity in North India, the cast and crew interacted with the media in Delhi today.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan thanked the Delhi media for extending their support to the team. He said the team had put in sincere efforts over the last two-and-a-half years with the intention of entertaining as well as inspiring audiences. Asking parents to bring their children to theatres, Ram Charan described Peddi as a powerful and uplifting entertainer that showcases the journeys of grounded individuals from Indian villages. He added that Indian cinema has always been celebrated for stories rooted in the soil, and Peddi is one such film presented on a grand scale.

Speaking at the event, Boman Irani said the film reflects the immense talent that exists in Indian villages but often remains unnoticed due to lack of opportunities. He expressed confidence that athletes would feel inspired by Peddi’s journey and hoped the film would encourage a larger movement in Indian sports by helping hidden talents receive proper exposure, guidance, and coaching to excel internationally.

Divyenndu Sharma shared similar thoughts and said he felt fortunate to work alongside such talented artists in one project. He called his association with Ram Charan memorable and stated that he would always cherish the experiences from the shoot of Peddi. He further described the movie as a “survival tale of identity.”

Janhvi Kapoor lightened the mood by joking about Delhi’s heat before revealing that she drew inspiration for her bold and “rowdy” character from director Buchi Babu Sana’s personality. She praised Ram Charan’s work ethic, saying he remains calm off-screen but transforms with explosive energy once the camera starts rolling. Janhvi called Peddi a mass entertainer that highlights the struggles and identity of overlooked Indians.

Producer Venkata Satish Kilaru expressed happiness about debuting with a film that is both grand in scale and culturally rooted. He thanked the cast and crew for their support and hard work, and described Peddi as an emotional entertainer set in a distinctive cinematic world.
